The legendary Canon Dream Lens 50mm f0.95 got its nickname for its distinctly dreamy look when the aperture is wide open. It was built in the 1960s – 1970s and was the fastest lens built in series at the time.
The golden coating creates a unique bokeh, golden lens flares, low chromatic aberration and an overall “dreamy” character. Zack Snyder challenged his focus puller with this lens by shooting the film ARMY OF THE DEAD with the aperture wide open.
Can’t be used on cameras with optical viewfinders.
