If you’re looking for a flexible and fast zoom for 16mm, you won’t go past this lens. Made in the 80’s, this Angenieux zoom is the fastest of its kind at T1.3 and can rival the Zeiss Super Speeds in that regard.
ARRI in its first super 16 camera manual lists only three zooms that will cover the full frame and this is one of them. Even at its widest focal length, the lens still makes a very sharp image while retaining its analog charm.
